Dobson launches redesigned Web site

OKLAHOMA CITY—Dobson Communications Corp. is hoping to spur wireless Web usage with a new mobile home page for its Cellular One-branded service.

The redesigned site includes five new buttons that give one-click access to content including ringtones, wallpapers, games, applications and mobile Web pages. Dobson said the home page was built in response to user feedback and is designed to provide a simplified user experience.

“Customers who are browsing the Internet on their handsets are looking for easier access to the content in which they are the most interested,” said Ken Hammaker, Dobson’s director of product and handset marketing. “That’s why we looked at customer usage patterns and redesigned our mobile home page to simplify the user experience.”
