NEW YORK—Regional wireless operator SunCom Wireless Holdings Inc. has put its advertising account up for review, executives familiar with the company said.
SunCom provides service to more than 1 million subscribers in southeastern states and the Caribbean.
Margeotes Fertitta Powell, majority-owned by MDC Partners and located in New York, is the incumbent on the account. Margeotes Fertitta Powell spent $23 million on media in 2005, according to TNS Media Intelligence. And according to a client list recently provided by Margeotes Fertitta and TNS Media Intelligence, it was the agency’s largest agency-of-record media spender last year.
SunCom declined to comment, as the company does not comment on contractual arrangements, a spokeswoman said. Margeotes Fertitta also had no comment.
