ATLANTA—T-Mobile USA Inc. has tweaked its pricing options with a promotional “back to school” plan for families that includes 1,000 anytime minutes for $50 per month. The plan does not include free weeknight or weekend calling, but does include unlimited mobile-to-mobile calling.
The plan is significantly less expensive than the lowest price-point family plans from the other three national carriers. Cingular Wireless L.L.C. and Sprint Nextel Corp. have 550-minute, $60-per-month plans that include night, weekend and mobile-to-mobile calling. Verizon Wireless’ family plans start at $70 per month for 700 anytime minutes, with unlimited off-peak and in-network calling.
At the $60-per-month price point for family plans, T-Mobile USA offers 700 anytime minutes as well as unlimited night, weekend and mobile-to-mobile calling.
