SAN FRANCISCO—Actuate Corp. has teamed with software developer Webalo to launch an Internet-based service that delivers integrated, managed spreadsheets to mobile devices.
The service couples Webalo’s User Proxy offering with the Actuate 9 e.Spreadsheet product to address user interface issues and inconsistencies in spreadsheet data sent to smart phones. The effort is targeted at large corporations, allowing users to “pull” personalized spreadsheets from Actuate on demand.
“Many of our customers strive to address the issue of making spreadsheet analysis available to as many decision makers as possible to improve corporate performance,” said Nobby Akiha, Actuate’s senior vice president of marketing. “Personalized, managed spreadsheets delivered to mobile devices is the next step in ensuring users have accurate, actionable information at their fingertips.”
