Subex Azure to buy Syndesis for $164.5M

Revenue assurance software vendor Subex Azure Ltd. announced it reached a deal to acquire Syndesis Ltd., a telecom operations support software company, in an all-cash deal valued at $164.5 million.
The proposed deal is part of Subex Azure’s goal to become a leading vendor of telecom OSS solutions worldwide.
The transaction is expected to close by March 31, at which time Subex Azure plans to reorganize into three strategic business units, including revenue maximization solutions, fulfillment and assurance solutions, and a British Telecom business unit.
Subex Azure Ltd., a company created by the merger of Subex and Azure, counts dozens of carriers across the globe as customers, including Verizon Wireless, Embarq, Alltel Corp. and others.
