Leap Wireless International Inc. has a new, flashier Web site for its Cricket unlimited wireless service.
“We are always looking for ways to make our services easier for our customers, and to improve their experience with Cricket,” said Linda Wokoun, senior vice president of marketing and customer care for Cricket. “Not only is the new site more customer friendly, but we’ve streamlined the customer online shopping experience as well, and have introduced Web-only offers and free shipping.”
The new site emphasizes Cricket’s four service plans, coverage maps and the company’s full handset line-up of 10 devices. Specifically, the site offers online discounts on handsets, and features an interactive coverage map that allows customers to search for coverage by zip code or state and city. The site also has additional information on the carrier’s downloadable content.
Leap is the latest wireless carrier to overhaul its Web site. Cingular Wireless L.L.C. and Sprint Nextel Corp. have also undertaken such efforts.
