Alltel’s extends data-rating deal with Convergys

Alltel Corp. renewed its contract with Convergys Corp. to continue managing Alltel’s wireless data-rating operations for another four years.
Additional terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Bob Lento, Convergys’ communications, technology and automotive group president, said that the flexibility of Convergys’ product “permits Alltel to effectively rate data services in order to meet ever increasing customer demands for competitive communication services.”
Alltel reported data average revenue per user of $4.14 of a total ARPU of $52.84 in the fourth quarter; data ARPU was up 60 percent year-over-year.
