MMA pushes into EMEA

The Mobile Marketing Association is going global with a new chapter for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The new chapter comprises more than 150 brands, agencies and other players under Chairman Richard Saggers, who oversees Vodafone Group plc’s mobile advertising business. Current national chapters in the United Kingdom, Austria and Spain will participate in EMEA regional activities, with each national chairman assuming a seat on the board of the larger group.
Other members of the new chapter include representatives from Microsoft Corp., Yahoo Inc., M:Metrics and The Coca-Cola Co.
“The growth of the mobile marketing industry in the EMEA region continues at a rapid pace,” Saggers said. “The MMA EMEA board of directors committee spans key elements of the value chain and will be at the forefront of this dynamic industry.”
