Paul Reddick has officially moved on from Sprint Nextel Corp. and joined the board of directors of Handmark Inc., a developer and distributor of mobile applications.
Reddick served 10 years at the industry’s No. 3 carrier, holding VP positions in product, business development, innovation and strategy. He had long been rumored to be leaving Sprint Nextel, but the operator has yet to make a formal statement regarding his departure.
Handmark is headquartered in Overland Park, Kan., which is also one of Sprint Nextel’s homes.
“Paul is a pioneer in the mobile media space,” said Handmark CEO August Grasis. “We are delighted he chose to join our board and look forward to his expert guidance as Handmark charts a path to global success.”
John Styers, Sprint Nextel’s general manager of mobile advertising, is also said to be leaving the carrier. A Sprint Nextel representative was not immediately available for comment.
