French government officials continue to use their BlackBerrys despite warnings from French security officials that communications on the devices may be intercepted by U.S. intelligence agencies. An official with the prime minister’s office told the French Le Monde newspaper that some government officials are using their BlackBerrys secretly after being offered alternative devices. French security officials reportedly believe messages could be intercepted because the servers for BlackBerry mail are located in the United States and Britain.
