Cellphone users in the United States access weather content more than any other news and information data, while European users prefer sports content, said M:Metrics.
News content ranked second among subscribers in both the United States and Europe. Among other categories, including entertainment, maps, financial account access, Europeans and Americans had similar preferences.
The firm found gender influences content choices more than geography, with American men accessing sports content most often while women accessed weather content most frequently. In Europe, men also chose sports first, while women accessed news most.
