Venture capital financing wrap-up: Berggi, Compete and Ifbyphone

The following list includes venture capital and other investments into wireless companies announced during the past week. The value of the investment is included when available.
–Berggi: Avanzit invested $1 million in mobile messaging services company Berggi as part of a strategic partnership between the two. The partnership also includes an $8 million investment into Berggi’s current venture-capital investor Adara Ventures.
–Compete: Commonwealth Capital Ventures led a $10 million Series III round of funding into Web analytics company Compete Inc. Previous investors Charles River Investors, North Hill Ventures, William Blair Capital Partners VII L.L.P. and Split Rock Partners also participated. The company said it plans to use the funding to accelerate product development.
–Ifbyphone: Origin Ventures and Apex Venture Partners co-led a $2.75 million Series A round of funding into voice infrastructure and applications development company Ifbyphone. Cogitations, a company owned by Ifbyphone’s founder and CEO, provided $1.5 million of seed capital to found the company and chipped in $500,000 during the most recent funding round.
