AT&T Mobility said it was re-examining its current billing practices for the wonder device that provides customers with billing records of not just all calls made from the iPhone, but also details of all data sessions via the carrier’s EDGE network. Various Web sites are home to videos of iPhone consumers showing off their iPhone bills, which in some cases can be up to 300 pages. AT&T Mobility reportedly sent iPhone customers a text message last week explaining the removal of the itemized detail and that consumers could still check such usage via its Web site.

Verizon Wireless said it is building a regional headquarters in Franklin, Tenn. The company will spend $54 million on the facility, which will house up to 700 new employees during the next three to five years. Verizon said the facility will provide functions including business services, sales, financial services, IT, human resources and network operations. The facility is expected to be fully operational next year.

The Advertising Standards Authority is condemning advertising put out by French cosmetics company Clarins that claims its face spray protects skin from mobile-phone radiation. The company’s advertising says electromagnetic energy from phones can cause wrinkles and offers its Expertise 3P lotion to protect users. The advertising watchdog group said the ads should be banned because the company’s claims are not supported by proper evidence.
