Nokia intros ‘Conversations’ for SMS

Nokia Corp. introduced a beta version of a downloadable application that groups text conversations by contact.
Conversations, as the offering is dubbed, enables threaded SMS messages similar to offerings available on the Apple Inc. iPhone, Palm Inc. Treos and Windows Mobile-enabled handsets. The application is supported by S60 devices and can be downloaded from Nokia Beta Labs at http://www.nokia.com/A4568203.
Threaded text messaging, which is commonly used by instant messaging clients and many e-mail applications, allows users to track both sent and received messages. The feature is designed to make it easier to follow multiple conversations simultaneously.
