Regional, flat-rate carrier MetroPCS Communications Inc. has brought Cellfire Inc. on deck to offer its subscribers direct access to mobile coupon and discount offers. Cellfire enables users to find and use deals that are delivered to their handsets.
“The addition of Cellfire mobile coupons and discount offers to our mobile Web browsing service is just one more way we are helping our customers access rich content and additional capabilities with our wireless service,” said Tom Keys, president and CEO of MetroPCS.
Cellfire’s service frequently updates discounts specific to each user’s location. The application-based service enables consumers to store, search and use discounts across multiple merchants and locations, according to the company.
Cellfire launched in 2006 with support from T.G.I. Friday’s and Hollywood Video, and its partner merchants now include Hardee’s, Papa Johns, Virgin Megastores, Taco Bueno, Wienerschnitzel and others.
Along with MetroPCS, Cellfire boasts on-deck placement with Boost Mobile and Cellular South.
