Redknee nabs Argent Networks

Redknee Solutions Inc. acquired New Zealand-based Argent Networks Ltd. for an initial payment of $4 million in cash that could eventually increase to an additional $4 million payment if certain revenues are achieved.
“I am delighted to be announcing our first acquisition,” said Lucas Skoczkowski, CEO of Redknee. “The acquisition expands our operator footprint with 18 new operators in the emerging markets and five in North America while increasing our product portfolio to include interconnect billing and converged billing for IPTV and broadband operators.”
Argent’s customers and employees will be integrated into Redknee’s existing business. Argent developed ArgentEclipse Interconnect, a content settlement software, and Argent Eclipse, a real-time billing and customer care product for fixed line, wireless, broadband and next-generation operators.
The transaction is expected to be closed by the end of January 2008.
