M2M provider picks Blueslice to aid roaming efforts

Wireless Maingate, a machine-to-machine company in Europe, has chosen Blueslice Networks to provide its ngHLR 3000T to help Maingate with roaming and other applications.
Blueslice said the ngHLR 3000T has a suite of applications specifically designed for M2M, including the company’s Multi-IMSI that provides low-cost roaming in fleet management applications, access to real-time device information and exact timing of device activation and deployment. Maingate plans to use the Blueslice platform to further develop its automatic meter reading application and its fleet management division throughout Europe.
“Maingate’s strategy is to offer services beyond country borders in Europe and the rest of the world, so it is imperative that there is a cost-effective way to manage roaming features,” said Robert Bellwaldius, CTO of Maingate. “The Blueslice solution includes support for multiple IMSI identities, which will make it easier for us to define propositions which will be challenging for other carriers to offer. Moreover, this state-of-the-art solution will easily integrate with our Maingate M2M platforms.”
