Bango provides tracking for mobile site owners

Bango expanded its mobile analytics offering, adding a tool that allows publishers to track the number of unique visitors to their wireless Web sites.
A hosted service available free to publishers who generate fewer than 100,000 page visits per month, Bango Analytics 3.0 enables developers to place one line of HTML code in a page to generate a count of visitors to the destination. The off-deck mobile payment company launched its initial mobile analytics offering in February with a service that gives advertisers the ability to track conversion rates of marketing campaigns.
A host of companies are competing with Bango in the race to boost advertising revenues by creating a more transparent mobile Web. AdMob recently unveiled its analytics offering, joining players such as Amethon, Mobilytics, Tig Tags and Wapalizer.
“Mobile Web site owners can now get a real picture of the value of their mobile Web site,” said Bango CEO Ray Anderson.
