The following list includes venture capital and other investments into wireless companies announced during the past week. The value of the investment is included when available.
—AirDio: Ambient Sound Investments invested $295,000 into Taiwan-based AirDio, which makes system in package modules for device makers. The financing called for AirDio to give Ambient a 14% stake in the company.
—ReCellular: Investor Growth Capital invested $15 million in a Series A Preferred Stock financing into ReCellular. The company said the funding will allow it to expand operations and accelerate growth.
—Siano: DFJ Tamir Fishman Ventures led a $17.5 million third round of funding into mobile TV chip maker Siano Mobile Silicon. The funding round also included participation from previous investors JVP, Star Ventures, Walden Israel, Bessemer Venture Partners and Inventec Appliances. The company said the financing will allow it to expand its sales and customer support facilities, build silicon inventory and continue product development.
