American and European users are using mobile map applications more frequently, with 8 % of U.S. mobile users and 3% of European subscribers accessing maps from the mobile phone between February and May, according to a new study from ComScore Inc.
Those figures represent an 82% growth rate in the United States and a 49% growth rate in Europe, said ComScore. The study found the iPhone is the leading device used to access maps in the United States and Europeans predominantly use the Nokia N95 and N70 for map access.
