The following list includes venture capital and other investments into wireless companies announced during the past week. The value of the investment is included when available.
—BuzzCity: Naspers invested $10 million into BuzzCity, a developer of global wireless communities and consumer services. BuzzCity said it will use the financing to extend market share for its core myGamma.com product and its network of sites.
—JumpTap: AllianceBernstein L.P. led a $26 million Series D round of funding into mobile search and advertising company JumpTap. Existing investors also participated, including General Catalyst Partners, Summerhill Venture Partners, Redpoint Ventures, Valhalla Partners and WPP. The company said it will use the funding to further develop its solutions and continue expansion of its global ad sales and operations divisions.
—RadioFrame: Ericsson Venture, Ignition Partners, VantagePoint Ventures and Plainfield Asset Management invested $28 million into RadioFrame Networks, a provider of femtocell and picocell solutions. The Series F round of funding included debt and equity financing. The funding will be used for operations and development.
