DesignArt Networks, a fabless semiconductor company, announced its DAN2400 WiMAX System on a Chip platform.
The company said a family of single-chip base and relay station reference designs is available. The platform allows vendors to build a complete radio access network product portfolio, covering indoor and outdoor applications, on one R&D, IOT and certification process. DesignArt said the reference designs are based on its glueless, single-chip SoC architecture with variants available for femtocells, picocells and microcells as well as BTS sector designs. The company also said it is providing commercial grade PHY and MAC SW packages that enable vendors to design infrastructure for WiMAX base stations, high capacity relays, backhaul and WiMAX cluster applications.
