Vecima announced its VistaMAX series has been expanded to include the 3.65 and 5.8 GHz frequency bands. The VistaMAX family includes WiMAX-compliant outdoor subscriber stations, indoor customer premises equipment, base-station transceiver and a network management system.
The company said it designed the VistaMAX 3.65 GHz system specifically for the U.S. market to help with rural and suburban deployments. The 5.8 GHz system supports unlicensed 5.8 GHz deployments as well as the 4.9 GHz public-safety band.
Vecima said its product supports tiered residential Internet access, Voice over Internet Protocol, cellular backhaul, enterprise data access and video backhaul.
