Clearwire Corp. replaced its chief financial officer and its chief strategy officer today. Erik Prusch has been named CFO, replacing David Sach, effective immediately. Teresa Elder has been appointed to a new position at the company, as president of Strategic Partnerships and Wholesale. Scott Richardson had been the company’s chief strategy officer and will continue in an advisory role.
Elder will lead Clearwire’s wholesale operations, which includes the services sold by the company’s strategic investors using Clearwire’s WiMAX network. Sprint Nextel Corp., as well as cable companies Comcast and Time Warner are reselling Clearwire service. Clearwire has had a number of personnel changes since CEO Bill Morrow was brought on board in March.
Elder most recently was CEO of Vodafone Ireland. Prusch was most recently President and Chief Executive Officer of Borland Software, where he also previously served as Chief Financial Officer, leading the restructuring of the company and returning the business to profitability.
