Verizon Communications Inc. still needs to lay off more employees from its wirelines business, despite the 8,000 layoffs the company is already planning this year.
CFO John Killian said the company needs to continue to make job cuts in its business as it shifts toward growth areas like wireless and its FiOS business, according to a number of media outlets.
