Comarco, which makes mobile power solutions, said it expects to report revenues from its ChargeSource product line of between $8.9 million and $9.2 million for the fourth quarter, which is more than double revenues of $3.3 million it reported during the previous fourth quarter. Full year revenue is expected to come in between $26 million and $26.3 million, up from $13.5 million the previous year. Comarco said it will report its results next month. The company also said it has amended its credit facility with Silicon Valley Bank to extend the maturity date for an additional year and to increase available credit to $10 million from $5 million.
Tower company Day Wireless Systems acquired 30 carrier-grade towers through two separate purchases and a site management agreement. The company now operates150 sites in seven Western states, including Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Nevada, Montana and Utah. Day Wireless said it anticipates closing a management deal for an additional nine towers during the first quarter.
DoCoMo Capital Inc., the corporate investment arm of NTT DoCoMo, made a strategic investment in TuneWiki, which makes social media players. TuneWiki said the financing will help it continue to build new products and expand current offerings. The investment was made in a supplemental closing to a previously announced Series B financing. Earlier this month, TuneWiki announced a strategic investment from Motorola Ventures.
Mobile games publisher Glu Mobile Inc. reported a drop in revenues for the fourth quarter to $19.1 million from $21.6 million the previous fourth quarter. Net loss for the quarter was $6.9 million, an improvement from net loss of $37.2 million during the same period in 2008.
Interdigital Inc. reported fourth-quarter revenues of $76.4 million The company will report full results on Feb. 24.
M/C Venture Partners said it closed the sale of NuVox Inc., a competitive local exchange carrier based in South Carolina, to Windstream Corp. The transaction was valued at $643 million. M/C Venture Partners was NuVox’s largest shareholder.
Millicom International Cellular reported revenues of $924 million for the fourth quarter, up 10% from revenues of $841 million for the fourth quarter of 2008.
Motorola Ventures said it participated in a financing round into Zenverge Inc., which develops advanced media integrated circuits. Existing investors DCM and Norwest Venture Partners also participated in the funding. The company said it will use the capital for production of a family of single-chip media ICs based on the Zenverge Entertainment Nexus, which is an architecture for digital HD convergence.
Nuance Communications Inc. reported revenues of $263 million for its 2010 first fiscal quarter, up 21.3% from revenues of $216.8 million during the corresponding period last year. GAAP net loss for the quarter was $4.3 million, compared with a GAAP net loss of $26.3 million for the same quarter a year earlier.
SBA Communications Corp. said it obtained a $500 million, five-year senior secured revolving credit facility through its wholly-owned subsidiary SBA Senior Finance II L.L.C. The credit facility replaces its $320 million credit facility maturing in January 2011. The financing was provided by an undisclosed syndicate of lenders, said SBA.
Syniverse Holdings Inc.said its revenues for the fourth quarter were $143.9 million, up 14.3% from $125.9 million during the previous fourth quarter. Net income was $18.3 million for the quarter, up from $17.3 million the previous year.
Sierra Wireless reported an increase in revenues for the fourth quarter to $144 million, up 8% from revenues of $133 million the previous year. Net loss for the quarter was $3.1 million, down from a return of $34.7 million during the fourth quarter last year.
