The New York State Wireless Association is holding its third annual conference and trade show next month with a focus on opportunities in the United States and in Canada, said Douglas Dimitroff, founder and president of the association and a partner with Phillips Lytle L.L.P.
The theme of this year’s show is called “Making Connections,” running from May 4 to May 6 at the Conference Center Niagara Falls, in Niagara Falls, N.Y. The show will feature sessions and exhibitions geared toward Canadian businesses looking for wireless opportunities in the United States, as well as U.S. businesses looking for opportunities in Canada, a focus on Niagara Falls as a border cities and other current industry trends and issues. The association expects between 300 and 400 attendees and 30 to 50 exhibitors during the event. Several new wireless entrants are building out networks in Canada.
“As the voice of the wireless industry in New York State, our previous conferences have provided key opportunities for wireless industry professionals to network with influential community and business leaders and further advance the wireless industry within the state,” Dimitroff said. “This year’s conference also provides a forum for the discussion of issues and challenges the wireless industry faces and to offer new opportunities to attendees. We are also focusing on cross-border opportunities within the telecom industry.”
The New York State Wireless Association was founded in 2007 and is supported by PCIA.
