Alvarion Ltd. said its revenues dropped to $51.9 million during the first quarter, from $60.2 million during the same period last year. Net loss for the quarter was $4.9 million, or 8 cents per share, compared with a net loss of $852,000, or 1 cent per share, for the first quarter of 2009.
American Tower Corp. reported an 11.2% increase in revenues to $454.4 million for the first quarter, compared with revenues of $408.7 million for the same period last year. Net income for the quarter was $96.5 million, or 24 cents per share, compared with net income of $58.8 million, or 14 cents per share, for the first quarter of 2009.
AT&T divested its stake in Tech Mahindra Ltd. but said it will maintain its vendor relationship with the company. Tech Mahindra provides IT services to AT&T.
Comarco Inc. said its revenues for its fiscal fourth quarter were $9.3 million, more than double revenues of $3.3 million the company reported during the same period last year. Net loss for the quarter was $3.5 million, or 48 cents per share, compared with net income of $3.2 million, or 44 cents per share, for the corresponding period last year.
CommScope Inc. said its first-quarter sales were $722 million and its net loss was $22 million, or 23 cents per share. That compares with sales of $742 million and a net loss of $20.5 million, or 29 cents per share, for the same period last year.
Crown Castle International reported first-quarter revenues of $444 million, up from revenues of $402.9 million during the first quarter of 2009. Net loss for the quarter was $199.4 million, or 43 cents per share, compared with net income of $10 million, or 2 cents per share, during the first quarter last year.
Glu Mobile Inc.’s revenues for the first quarter were $17.3 million, down from revenues of $20.8 million during the first quarter of 2009. Net loss for the quarter was $3.7 million, or 12 cents per share, compared with a net loss of $5.8 million, or 19 cents per share, during the same period last year.
InterDigital reported first-quarter revenues of $116.2 million, up 65% from revenues of $70.6 million during the first quarter last year. Net income for the quarter was $48.8 million, or $1.09 per share, compared with a net loss of $8.7 million, or 20 cents per share, during the same period a year ago.
Motorola Inc. said its first-quarter sales were $5 billion, down slightly from sales of $5.4 billion during the same period last year. Net income for the quarter was $68 million, or 3 cents per share, compared with a net loss of $228 million, or 13 cents per share, for the first quarter of 2009.
Ntelos Holdings said its revenues for the first quarter were $137.6 million, down from revenues of $140.7 million during the same period last year. Net income for the quarter was $12.7 million, or 30 cents per share, compared with net income of $17.6 million, or 41 cents per share, during the first quarter last year.
Openwave reported results for its 2010 third fiscal quarter, which included revenues of $40.1 million. That was down slightly from revenues of $44.7 million reported during the same quarter last year. Net loss for the quarter was $4.2 million, or 5 cents per share, compared with net loss of $7.8 million, or 9 cents per share, during the corresponding quarter last year.
Powerwave Technologies Inc. reported net sales of $114.5 million for the first quarter, down from sales of $149.7 million for the first quarter of 2009. Net loss for the quarter was $10.8 million, or 8 cents per share, compared with a net loss of $4.4 million, or 3 cents per share, during the same period last year.
SBA Communications Corp. said its first quarter revenues were $148 million, up from $135 million during the first quarter of 2009. Net loss was $37.3 million, or 32 cents per share, compared with a net loss of $17.9 million, or 15 cent per share during the first quarter of last year.
Sierra Wireless said its revenues increased36% to $151.3 million for the first quarter from $111.4 million for the same period last year. Net loss for the quarter was $7.6 million, or 24 cents per share, compared with net loss of $23.9 million, or 76 cents per share, for the first quarter of 2009.
Sprint Nextel Corp.’s first-quarter revenues were $8.1 billion, down slight from revenues of $8.2 billion during the same period last year. Net loss for the quarter was $865,000, or 29 cents per share, which was an increase from a net loss of $594,000, or 21 cents per share, during last year’s first quarter.
Superconductor Technologies Inc. reported revenues for the first quarter of $3.4 million, up from $1.7 million during the same period last year. Net loss for the quarter was $2.5 million, or 11 cents per share, compared with a net loss of $3.5 million, or 20 cents per share, a year earlier.
Syniverse Holdings Inc.’s revenues for the first quarter were $149 million, up almost 37% from revenues of $109 million during the corresponding period last year. Net income for the quarter was $19.7 million, or 29 cents per share, compared net income of $16 million, or 23 cents per share, during the first quarter of 2009.
TeleCommunication Systems said it achieved record revenues during the first quarter of $90.9 million, up 29% from revenues of $70.5 million during last year’s first quarter. Net income for the quarter was $5 million, or 8 cents per share, compared with $4.9 million, or 10 cents per share during the first quarter of 2009.
Telular Corp. reported results for its fiscal second quarter, which ended March 31. The company’s revenues for the quarter were $11.4 million and net income was $317,000, or 2 cents per share. That compares with revenues of $11.8 million and net income of $298,000, or 1 cent per share, for the corresponding quarter last year.
Tessco Technologies Inc. said its revenues for its fourth fiscal quarter of 2010, ended March 28, were $130.6 million, up from $98.2 million during the same period last year. Net income was $1.7 million, or 33 cents per share, compared with net income of $785,200, or 16 cents per share, for the same quarter a year ago.
UTStarcom’s revenues for the first quarter were $81 million, down from revenues of $119 million during the first quarter of last year. Net loss for the quarter was $16 million, an improvement from a net loss of $67.4 million during the corresponding period last year.
Verisign said its revenues for the first quarter were $264 million, up 4% from revenues of $253.6 million during the first quarter last year. Net income for the quarter was $52.4 million, or 28 cents per share, compared with net income of $65.5 million, or 34 cents per share, for the same period last year.
