CNNMoney.com launched a Blackberry application that allows users to access content by mobile phone, text or via the company’s mobile Web site. Features of the app include the ability to customize news alerts, delivery of updates to e-mail accounts, articles formatted to a reader-friendly mobile format and tracking of personal stock data.
Excelocity Inc., a software services company, and Aricent said they have successfully integrated Excelocity’s XL-Gateway with Aricent’s Converged Access Software product. The XL-Gateway is a framework for building voice and video IP solutions. Aricent’s CAS is a software framework for multi-service gateways for the Intel CAP24-60 Multi-Service Business Gateway reference HW platform.
Verizon Wireless said its business customers can now pay for NetMotion Wireless Mobility XE mobile VPN software via their Verizon Wireless bills. This gives customers the ability to pay a monthly fee for the software rather than pay a one-time upfront licensing charge. The software creates a mobile VPN for mobile workers.
SyChip Inc. introduced its new SyNode wireless sensor node, theSN3010. The product is a low-power Zigbee endpoint sensor node that includes temperature, humidity and light sensors. It can be used as a stand-alone product or included in OEM products, said the company.
