Taiwanese Carrier selling cheap 3G for Computex

Most frequent flyers are used to frequent and inordinate data roaming bills, but if you happen to be heading to Computex in Taiwan next week, that might not necessarily have to be the case.
Taiwanese carrier MyFone is selling pre-paid 3G cards from a plethora of booths scattered throughout Taoyuan international airport in Taipei, with unlimited plans for one, three or five days for a mere pittance.
While it’s still unclear what the actual base SIM card costs, the unlimited data for one day comes to an insignificant 100TWD ($3), while a two day unlimited will set you back 250TWD ($7.70) and a five day will cost a whopping 350TWD ($10.80).
With speeds of a purported four down and 750 up, the mobile browsing experience is not bad at all, according to Nicole Scott, a Taipei resident and contributor to Netbook News. Scott did tell RCR, however, that she was a little concerned speeds might significantly decrease during Computex as the huge influx of foreigners starts hogging all the bandwidth.
Cameron Wilmot, another Taipei resident and owner of popular hardware site TweakTown assured Computex goers they could also pick up a SIM straight from the arrivals lounge in Taoyuan.
