Qualcomm Ventures Europe made a strategic investment in Anteryon, which makes wafer-based miniature optical modules for mobile phone cameras and laser projection. BNP Paribas Private Equity, Biggell Finance and Quest for Growth also participated in the round. Anteryon said it will use the funding for its optical module production technology and to expand its Asia production facility.
Texas Instruments updated its second quarter outlook. The company said it expects revenues to range from $3.45 billion to $3.59 billion, up from its previous range of $3.31 billion to $3.59 billion. EPS is expected to come in between 60 cents and 64 cents, compared with the company’s previous range of 56 cents to 64 cents.
Russian carrier Mobile TeleSystems reported revenues of $2.6 billion for the first quarter and consolidated net income of $381 million.
Motorola Inc. announced approximately $138,183,000 aggregate principal amount of its 5.22% debentures due 2097 were validly tendered and not validly withdrawn prior to the expiration date for its previously announced cash tender offer for any and all of such debt securities. Motorola also announced that it increased the combined aggregate principal amount of debt securities that it is offering to purchase from $400 million to $500 million.
Calamp Corp. said it will hold its annual shareholder meeting July 29. Shareholders of record on June 10 will be eligible to vote at the meeting.
General Dynamics’ board of directors declared a regular quarterly dividend of 42 cents per share, which is payable Aug. 6 to shareholders of record on July 2.
