GSMA – Dick Lynch, EVP and CTO at Verizon Wireless, has been named to the GSM assocation board, following Verizon’s joining the board earlier this year as part of its plans to roll out LTE service.
Telegent – Ford Tamer has been named CEO. Tamer comes to Telegent from Khosla Ventures, where he enhanced the firm’s cleantech efficiency system.
Transpera – Greg Ballard has accepted the position of CEO, while founder and former CEO Frank Barbieri will take over as chief product officer.
Alcatel-Lucent – Robin Dargue has been appointed to the newly-formed position of president of business and information technology transformation. Dargue, who previously served as CIO and technology director at British Royal Mail, will assume her role at Alcatel-Lucent effective July 21, 2010.
Immersion – David Sugishita has been elected to the board of directors.Sugishita will replace Robert Van Naarden , who is retiring from the board.
Aviat Networks – The company has relocated its corporate headquarters to a 128,000-square-foot facility at 5200 Great America Parkway in Santa Clara, California.
