Movers and Shakers: Denman elected to CTIA board; and more

CTIA elected Ken Denman, CEO of Openwave Systems, to its board of directors effective in January. Denman has been elected to represent the ‘Other Supplier’ category on the board.

Gred Stuart has been named president and CEO of the Mobile Marketing Association. He will oversee implementation of the association’s repositioning. Most recently, Stuart was president and CEO of the Interactive Advertising Bureau.

Airvana said it promoted two existing executives to become general managers for its primary businesses. Mike Clark, formerly vice president of worldwide sales, marketing and technical services, will take responsibility for the company’s femtocell business. Mark Rau, formerly vice president of engineering and operations, will lead the company’s macro EV-DO radio access network business.

Vibes Media named Julie Roth Novack senior vice president of Mobile Solutions. Novack will be responsible for client services, strategy and implementation teams. Prior to joining the company, Novack held executive management positions at Razorfish.
