U.S. Cellular jumps on Tab bandwagon

Not to be left out of the current tablet craze, U.S. Cellular Corp. (USM) said it will begin offering Samsung Telecommunication Americas’ Galaxy Tab device “in time for the holiday shopping season.” The carrier said it would announce pricing and availability details soon, though it did note the device would “benefit” from its recently unveiled “Belief” program.
The scheduled launch by U.S. Cellular is the first beyond the four nationwide operators announced by Samsung when it unveiled the device last month. Verizon Wireless, Sprint Nextel Corp. and T-Mobile USA Inc. have all announced their device pricing and launch dates for the device, with AT&T Mobility the only remaining carrier to unveil its plans.
