Verizon Wireless made AOL’s weekly list of Top 10 companies hiring this week, according to the website. The nation’s largest operator has 727 job listings on CareerBuilder.com. Most of the jobs are in sales, throughout the country. More than 120 positions are for customer service.
A check at AT&T Corp. noted 1,782 positions available, but this includes jobs across all of AT&T’s divisions. Sprint Nextel Corp. lists 576 jobs available on its website. When searching across Verizon Communications Inc.’s divisions, 2,928 jobs are posted. At T-Mobile USA Inc., 1,352 jobs are posted.
While wireless operators typically gear up sales staff for the holiday shopping season, which officially kicks off Friday, job openings at all of the nationwide operators went beyond typical retail positions.
