NSN bets $175M on R&D in South Korea

Nokia Siemens Networks is planning to spend $175 million on wireless broadband technology research and development in South Korea. The investment will stretch out over the next several years, according to South Korea’s Yonhap News Agency.
The joint venture between Nokia Corp. and Siemens AG expects to open “smart labs” in the country before march. NSN says it will hire 20 to 30 employees initially and seek out partnership with other local businesses.
