Jasper to power America Movil’s M2M business

Jasper Wireless scored a huge deal to power America Movil’s machine-to-machine communications initiatives across North, Central and South America and the Caribbean. Under terms of the deal, Jasper will provide its single platform solution to the world’s fourth-largest global operator. Financial details of the agreement were not released.
As wireless penetration rates among people increase, wireless operators worldwide are looking to machine-to-machine communications as a way to increase average revenue per user. While M2M ARPU is generally low, churn is also low and operators don’t need to subsidize devices. M2M communications is set to triple during the next five years, according to ABI Research.

Jasper Wireless has developed a single, complete platform that enables device manufacturers and service providers to build and grow a connected device business.
