Capital Markets: SensorLogic raises $5M; Brightpoint buys Touchstone; and more

SensorLogic, which offers a service delivery platform for machine-to-machine applications, said it raised $5 million in additional funding led by Sevin Rosen Funds and Boston Millennia Partners. Existing investors UPS Strategic Enterprise Fund and Covera Ventures also participated in the funding round. The funding will be used to fund sales and marketing activities and to expand the company’s delivery and operations teams.
Brightpoint Inc. said it signed an agreement to acquire Touchstone Wireless Repair and Logistics, which provides repair, remanufacture and reverse logistics services to the wireless industry. Terms of the agreement call for Brightpoint to pay $80 million in cash to acquire Touchstone, which is a privately held company based in Hatfield, Pa. Brightpoint said it will pay for the acquisition out of its senior revolving credit facility. The deal is expected to close by the end of the year.
Ridgemont Equity Partners closed a majority investment in Unite Private Networks, which provides high-bandwidth, fiber-based communications networks. Financial terms of the deal were not released.
Aruba Networks completed its purchase of the assets and technology of Amigopod, an Australian company that provides network authentication solutions. Aruba said Amigopod’s solutions address large enterprise campus networks and multi-site deployments and integrates with a variety of wireless networks.
DN Capital led a first round of funding into Performance Horizon Group, an online performance marketing technology provider.
InterDigital Inc.‘s board of directors approved the company’s initial dividend policy, which includes payment of a regular quarterly cash dividend of 10 cents per share of its common stock. The dividend will be paid Feb. 2 to shareholders of record on Jan. 12.
