@ NATE: Broadcasters remain concerned about wireless industry's quest for spectrum

OKLAHOMA CITY – The Federal Communications Commission’s current plans to set aside hundreds of megahertz of spectrum to expand mobile broadband services has gained rousing support from the cellular industry, which is set to benefit from the spectrum influx. However, much of that spectrum is set to be cleaved from television broadcasters who have already contributed some of their holdings in the 700 MHz band as part of the recent digital television transition.
Don Doty, CEO of Stainless L.L.C. and Doty Moore Tower Service, expands on concerns broadcasters have about the latest plans that could see them lose additional spectrum assets.
