Spain’s leading telco Telefónica and one of Mexico’s main broadcasters TV Azteca have renewed their deal to operate in Peru.
Movistar TV, Telefónica’s brand in this and other Latin American territories, renewed the contract with the telco to carry on operating its TV network for TV Azteca Internacional’s pay-TV model.
The agreement will allow TV Azteca’s transmissions to be available in the whole of Peru but later this signal will be extended to other neighbour territories such as Chile and Venezuela.
The relationship between the companies begun back in 2002 with the distribution of the channels Azteca 13 and Azteca 7.
