Sprint Nextel launches online business directory for mobile numbers

Sprint Nextel Corp. (S) reported a partnership with WhitePages to produce an online business directory for wireless phone numbers. The offering is in response to an increasing number of companies that rely on their mobile devices to connect with customers.
Sprint Nextel noted the opt-in service will allow its business customers to customize their listings with featured search engine results placement, photos, videos and other information.
The service will be available in three price tiers. The basic offering is free and allows for the business name, address, wireless phone number, website link and map. For $20 per month businesses can add their logo, tagline, company description, business category, e-mail address, hours of operations, description of products and services, accepted payments, videos and photo gallery. For $50 per month businesses can add listings for up to 10 locations.
