AUSTIN, Texas-Downtown Austin is likely to blossom fruit this week in the form of Apple Inc. Several local news agencies are reporting that Apple will open a temporary store in the Scarborough building offices at 522 N. Congress Avenue in downtown Austin, near the intersection of 6th Street.
Apple is expected to rent the location for a mere two weeks, and is rumored to open the doors tomorrow morning, as Friday, March 11 kicks off the start of South by Southwest (SXSW) and also coincides with the heralded launch of the iPad 2.

Sources indicate that shop windows at the location are currently covered with black plywood. Apple will neither confirm or deny existence of the store but signs point to the affirmative.
