@ MWC: Analyst Dan Hays discusses the MVNO 3.0 model, small cells and more

BARCELONA, Spain—Dan Hays, an analyst at PRTM, says the MVNO model 3.0 could see success in the United States under wholesale models like that offered by LightSquared and Clearwire Corp. Nevertheless, Hays notes that with 2011 being the year of 4G technologies, operators are going to have to experiment with new business models to avoid the mistakes made when operators deployed 3G services. In a wide-ranging interview, Hays also discusses small cell technology, backhaul and over-the-top service providers.
