Intel and Best Buy give flight to Angry Birds

Angry Birds isn’t just for touchscreen tablets anymore, with chipmaker Intel making everyone’s favorite furious feathered friends available on netbooks and laptops for the first time – in coordination with Best Buy.

Intel says it has teamed up with the big box retailer to offer the first 50,000 people who download and register for the Intel AppUp center a free copy of Angry Birds.

The game typically costs $4.99, but will magnanimously be awarded on a first-come-first-served basis for new customers, according to an Intel press release.
