If you’ve ever wondered how you would fare as a billionaire running a business empire, you don’t need to wonder any more – there’s an app for that. Danta Entertainment, an Austin-based educational gaming company, launched a release of its game Robot Tycoon for the Apple iPad this week. The game centers around building a successful business by managing and operating a robot factory, and is based on a computer version used at such prestigious institutions as Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and Harvard Business School.
The game teaches the building blocks of running a business and starts users by selling robots door-to-door, responding to customer needs, upgrading storefronts, opening factories, customizing products, outsourcing, and solving complex business scenarios.
Danta Entertainment licenses educational games for use by educational institutions or parents to create interactive learning experiences. The other side of Danta’s portfolio is Vital Interaction, which provides software for health care providers to communicate with patients using text messaging and automated voice.
The game is currently sold in the App Store for $4.99.
