ROME (Dow Jones)–Telecom Italia SpA (TI) Friday confirmed its full-year targets despite a sharp fall in first-quarter net profit, as a strong performance in Brazil and Argentina failed to offset continued weakness in its domestic market.
Italy’s largest telecommunications operator stuck with its 2011 targets for broadly stable revenue and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization, but analysts noted the domestic outlook remains challenging.
