RCR Wireless News is hitting the road next week for Dallas. As with every stop on our global tour, conference series and news desk, our team will engage the mobile community at the local level to better understand the impacts of mobile broadband on the economy, innovation and society as a whole.
Dallas is the fourth-largest metropolitan area in the country, the greater Dallas region is experiencing steady expansion due to our wealth of resources, reasonable cost of living, and stable economy, according to the Dallas Area Chamber of Commerce. The chamber said the area “commands nearly half of all technology activity in Texas.”
As wireless industry players know, Dallas is home to some of the nation’s largest original equipment manufacturers, including L.M. Ericsson, Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd., Nokia Siemens Networks, and more. The nation’s second-largest wireless operator, AT&T Inc., also calls Dallas home. Further, one of the world’s most talked about Distributed Antenna System (DAS) is housed at Cowboys Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys.
RCR Wireless News also plans to use the TIA 2011: Inside the Network conference to produce its news desk to interview industry executives, show product demonstrations and report from the show floor. To request an interview, contact Editors Tracy Ford or Matt Kapko tford@rcrwireless.com or mkapko@rcrwireless.com.
