H&M Networks acquires DAS company

Henkels & McCoy Inc. has bought In-Building-Wireless to expand its Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) efforts. The two companies have worked together through Henkels & McCoy’s H&M Networks business, collaborating on projects across the carrier, enterprise and federal vertical markets.
Silver Spring, Md.-based In-Building-Wireless brings more than 1,000 projects and sites to the acquisition. “In-Building-Wireless has a design and engineering team that is second to none, and we both have enjoyed our collaboration in solving some of the most complex networking requirements,” said Mark Lehman, VP, H&M NetWorks.
DAS networks are increasingly used indoors and outdoors to bring wireless capacity to crowded venues and hard-to-site communities.
“Henkels & McCoy is the ideal match for our firm’s explosive growth that we are experiencing in the cellular market. Our combined experience and national network of technicians and network engineers will enable wireless carriers and Fortune 500 companies to roll out complex wireless solutions over the entire U.S. footprint with top-notch project management,” said Shawn Thompson, co-founder, In-Building-Wireless. Peter Murray, H&M’s Wireless Program Manager states, “Our wireless program focuses on enhancing the mobile broadband infrastructure needs of our carrier partners, as well as our government and commercial customers. We’re making 4G wireless and beyond a reality by providing the capacity and coverage so vital to a mobile society.”
