Movers & Shakers: Samsung announces new CMO; Alcatel-Lucent introduces new exec; and more

BroadHop Inc., policy control platforms for telecom operators, announced it has expanded its management team, appointing Steven D. Adams to the newly created role of Vice President, Customer Operations. Adams will lead BroadHop’s global customer deployment, support and professional services teams supporting the significant traction the company is generating with its next generation policy management solution, The Quantum Network Suite.

Samsung Telecommunications America, mobile phone provider in the U.S., announced the appointment of Todd Pendleton as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Pendleton will report directly to Samsung Mobile President Dale Sohn and will be responsible for oversight of all marketing activities for Samsung’s mobile division in the U.S. Pendleton joins Samsung with more than 17 years of brand marketing and communications experience. Before joining Samsung, he held the position of Global Brand Communications Director for Nike, Inc.

Tecca, an online and mobile resource for consumers, made several key announcements. Rich Battista, media veteran, was appointed to its board of directors. Tecca also announced the appointment of co-presidents Assaf Tarnopolsky and Shannon Ludovissy, both of whom have extensive digital experience growing brands on the consumer and business fronts. Additionally Barb Dybwad will join Tecca as director of programming and content.

Snell announced the appointment of Vanessa Ching as vice president, channel marketing and communications for the company’s Asia-Pacific and Middle East territories. Reporting directly to Naresh Subherwal, Snell’s president, Asia-Pacific and Middle East, Ching will be based in Singapore and will manage all strategic marketing programs for the region with a focus on channel partner relationships.
