Brazil May Mobile Phone Subscriptions Rise 1.16% On Month

SAO PAULO (Dow Jones)–Brazil mobile phone subscriptions increased to 215 million in May, up 1.16% from April, according to figures released late Tuesday by telecommunications regulator Anatel.

New subscriptions totaled 2.5 million in May, Anatel said.
